Free Zoo Day

Every year the zoo has a free day on the last Wed of February, so we took the kids yesterday. It was beautiful all day until we got there at about 4:00 and it started sprinkling. The kids had been so excited to go so we took them in anyway. It was actually kind of nice cause everyone else left because of the rain, so we had it all to ourselves. We saw everything in like an hour cause there were no lines to wait in. Emma loved the little monkeys and has decided that she wants one for a pet. And Cayden loved the Siberian Tiger (he was so huge) cause it could eat him. Our friends Riley and Avery went with us, and daddy surprised us and met us there. We had a blast, even in the rain. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures, but it was a great day.

It's a....

We found out today what we are having, what a great birthday present. It's a...GIRL. I am so excited. I knew it was a girl, Chuck thought it was a boy, but I was right. I am so happy to be right, cause I was wrong with the other two. We are thrilled, and just hope she is not as emotional as Emma =). We are going to name her Grace Noel. YEY!!

Happy Birthday to me

I just want to say hooray for me, I made it to 26. I feel so old, I am closer to 30 now than I am to 20, how depressing. But I am having a wonderful day, thanks for all the calls and letters I have recieved. In celebration of my birthday I would like to write my 5 favorite things about myself. =)
1. My husband, he really is the better half of our relationship. I am so proud of the man he has become, and I am so grateful for him in my life. I would not be the same person without his constant love and support.
2. My children. I love them so much. They really are everything to me. I see so much of myself in them, only their litte spirits are like 20 times stronger than mine. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent them to me.
3. My mom, I notice little ways that I become more like her all the time. She has been a constant example of love, service, and virtue. I am so grateful that she has helped shape who I am becoming.
4. My sisters, they are my best friends and I am so grateful for them in my life. They are always such a good example to me and I love them so much.
5. My testimony. I am so grateful that I have a testimony of this gopsel and for all of the people mentioned above who have helped shape it.

Evidences of God's Love

I have had a couple of things happen the past couple days that have reminded me how much our Heavenly Father loves me and my family, and that he really is there for us. Yesterday I went out to my car and had an errand that I had to get done. Lately a lot of things have been going wrong with my car and we have already racked up almost a $500 bill for all the things we have had to fix. We are really tight on money right now (in the final stretch of grad school, only 10 more months, YEY) so the extra charges have been really tough for us. Anyway, I went out to the car, had gotten the kids in the car and turned the car on. Well, my electrical sytem has already been having problems and when I turned on the car my seat and radio would not work. Chuck had driven the car last so the seat was moved all the way back and I could not touch the pedals at all, he is way taller than me. Anyway, our seat is on an electrical slider. First I called Chuck to yell at him, cause we all know that when we are pregnant and something goes wrong, it is obviosly the husbands fault=). I restarted the car like 10 times hoping it would switch on, but it would not work. I could not have driven the car with the seat that far back. Anyway, I came inside to take a breath and just started bawling, I really could not take one more thing going wrong (I know, I'm prego and emotional). I got on my knees and just cried to my Heavenly Father. I told him that we could not afford to fix one more thing, and if he would just fix this one thing for me I would be so grateful. I finished crying and went outside, I started my car and my seat worked right away. I started crying again and said a prayer of gratitude. I know it sounds so dumb, but I was at the end of my rope. It was another witness to me of my Heavenly Father's love. That he cares about all aspects of our lives and will always be there for us if we just ask. I am so grateful that he cares even about my car seat, even though in the eternal scheme of things it really doesn't matter at all. Anyway, it may seem small and insognifigant, but it was a big thing to me. I keep having experiances where I can see his love for me and my children, and I am so grateful for his love and tender mercies in our lives.

Shoot the bad guys

Cayden informed me today that he wants to be a policman when he grows up so he can shoot all the bad guys so they don't ever hurt mommy or Emma. Then he thought for a minute and said "Actually I want to be the cheif or something, the policeman who is in charge of all the other policemen, cause I would like to be the boss of everyone and get to shoot bad guys."

Oh good my four year is on a power trip and wants to be able to shoot people.
