Miracles!!!

I seriously feel so blessed right now. I have experianced a couple of miracles in my life, Emma being the greatest. Today I recieved one more. Most of those who know me know that I have been diagnosed with PCOS, it is a horrible disease and has many side effects, the worst of which is infertility. I have struggled with this since Cayden was born, so a little over four years. Six months ago I got a bunch of lab work done. My body was so screwed up, I had inulin resistance, low thyroid, hypoglycemic, not ovulating, that is just to name a few. Anyway I was feeling really sick for a while and it has been a hard couple of years. A couple of months ago I was given a blessing that told me that I would be healed, I felt the spirit so strong, it was a wonderful experiance. I had so much faith in this blessing, but was careful not to put a time frame on it because we all know that sometimes the Lord's timing is different than our own. A couple of weeks ago I had this nagging feeling that I needed to go get my lab work done again. I scheduled an appointment with the docter and I convinced him to do it all. The docter called back today and... all of my results came back completely normal. I couldn't believe it. NO insulin resistance, NO low thyroid. All of my hormone levels had returned to normal as well. The docter told me that the fertility stuff could still be a problem, but that with these other problems out of the way it would be a lot easier to deal with. I feel so grateful. I am crying as I type this, I just can't believe that so much got better so fast. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me, and who has not forgoten me. I am grateful for a Savior who has walked with me, and carried this burden. I have so much faith that if it is the Lords will I will be able to have another baby. I feel so unworthy of the blessings I have been given in this life. I am so grateful for the experiances I have been given and for the miracles that have been wrought on my behalf. Thank you to all of my family and friends who have kept me in their thoughts and prayers, for the constant love, support and help you have given during the expecially hard times. I am just bursting with Joy right now, I don't know what else to say.

The faith of a child

Tonight for family scripture study we read about Jesus' second coming. You always hope that the kids will listen, but lately Cayden has been paying more and more attention and I am sometimes surprised by what he remembers. Tonight after family scripture and prayer I took Cayden in to go to bed. During his personal prayers he said the cutest thing. "Please bless me to see what you and Jesus look like, when Jesus comes again. Please bless me to see what Nephi looks like too. And please bless me to feel your love and Jesus' love for me. Please send down angels from heaven to help me go to sleep and to keep me safe. I love you and Jesus so much." It was the cutest thing ever. I seriously got teary eyed. I love how much faith our litte children have. To them it is so simple, and they love Jesus so much. I am surprised everyday by how much he is learning and how much he loves to learn about the gospel. It seems that when I start talking about Jesus and Gospel principles the kids just eat it up. I really think that their little spirits recognize truth and they are drawn to it. They pray for angels and they have no reason to believe that Jesus won't send them to help, we should have that much faith.

Camping!

This weekend we went camping with our friends Trent and Kristi and their baby Cami. We don't get to see them very much so it was so fun to spend the weekend together. We went up AF canyon up to Silver Lake. It was so beautiful up there. The kids had so much fun, we all love to be out in nature. When we got up there we spent a while setting up camp.

Our camp site, notice there is only one tent. Our friends forgot their tent poles so we had to all squish into our tent. It was an adventure.

The beautiful view from our tent

Cayden was covered in dirt within 5 minutes of being there.

Once we got our camp set up we went down to the Lake and played in the water. We found a little stream flowing into the Lake, the kids had a blast playing in the water.

Cayden and Emma playing in the mud at the lake.

Cayden, Emma, Chuck, Trent, Kristi, and Cami

Cayden kept finding these dark colored branches, he thought they were dinosaur bones, he was so excited every time he found another "bone"

Its' funny how boys turn everything into a competition. They were seeing who could skip stones the furthest. Trent was way better than all of us.

By dusk it started getting cold and the water was freezing.

Chuck and Trent, bringing home the wood! It was funny how proud of themselves they were when they brought back all this wood. We had forgoten to buy some before coming up and once we got up there we didn't thing we were going to be able to find any. They felt like they were so manly for finding so much for us.

Tent and Kristi made us the best dinner and then we put the kids to bed and sat around the campfire eating tons of smores and talking. We were laughing, talking polotics, and religion. I love having friends that we can talk about anything from money problems to gospel principles. The next morning Chuck and I made breakfast and then we hung out around camp. We were going to go hiking but it got hot so quick that we decided to skip it.

Emma and Cami

Chuck and I making breakfast. We forgot a table so we had to cook on the back of the truck.

Daddy and Emma

After hanging out a while we packed up camp and went to play at the lake again. we got the kids home in time for naps and then after a much needed shower they came over to our house for dinner. We had such a great time!

Grandma Camp!

My mom had a Grandma camp for all the grandkids last week. They had to be potty trained to go, so sadly Emma couldn't attend, but Cayden had a blast. I dropped him off Tuesday Morning and they played in the back yard, had lunch, and then went to the AF pool to go swimming. They got to stay up late that night, and Grandma surprised them all with matching pajamas. The next day they played games in the backyard, had lunch at Wendy's then went to the Discovery Gateway museum. Cayden loved the museum and said it was his favorite part of the whole camp. On the way home from the museum they stopped at "The Mayan" for dinner. This is Cayden's favorite restaurant so he was thrilled. They stayed up late again, and the Grandma fairy came that night to give them presents. This is something my grandma did for me and my mom's grandma did for her. Now my mom is doing it and the kids love it. Whenever they sleep at Grandma's the grandma fairy comes and leaves them a present under their pillow. My mom tells them that the fairy lives in her perfume bottle, which is what I remember my grandma telling me as well. The grandma fairy brought them each a toy, Cayden got a transformer, a treat, and $5. Can you say spoiled? Then on Thursday, they got up and Grandma had matching t-shirts for the boys that said Grandma Camp 2008 on them. They had a water balloon fight and then went up to hike Timpanogos cave. They loved the cave, and I think Ron only had to carry Cayden and Cort about half the way (poor Ron). that is a hard hike though, and I am proud of them for making it. After the cave Grandma had one last present for them, it was a couple of Learing CD and workbooks. Cayden came home exhausted. He had the time of his life, didn't take a nap for 3 days, went to bed at 11 for two nights and hiked up to the caves. We were eating dinner and he was laying on the table begging us to go to bed. I am so glad that my mom has done this with the kids. Cayden had so much fun and will always remember this time with his Grandma.

Adventure Days!

This week for adventure days we went to the Aquarium. the kids loved the octopus, the jelly fish, the sea horses, and the petting the matarays. They also got to touch a starfish and a sea cucumber. We had a great time. Afterwards we went to Paradise bakery for lunch, can I just say, YUMMY! they are putting one in by my house and I am so excited. Anyway, we had a great day with Amy, Riley and Avery.

Petting the mantaray's. they loved getting to touch them.

Emmas favorite was the sea horses. She got so excited and laughed the whole time she was watching it. Look how cute this little guy is.

Missing Cayden!

Cayden has been away for 3 days at "Grandma Camp" My mom does it with all the grandkids and they stay there for 3 days and do all sorts of fun activities and the kids all love it. Emma couldn't go cause she isn't potty trained. He is having so much fun, but I have to admit, I miss him so much. Our house has been a lot quieter without him here, I miss the noise and the craziness. It has been so nice to get to spend time alone with Emma for a couple of days, she is so sweet. And surprisingly, without Cayden here to tease and pick on her, she hasn't whinned or cried at all. She has been such a delight. I forgot how much easier it is to only have one child. But all that aside I really miss Cayden so much. He comes home today and me and Emma are so excited for him to be home. She has been asking for him all the time. I will probly post pictures of Grandma camp later, if my mom took any, she is horrible at taking pictures she always forgets.

Pictures

We went today and got Cayden and Emma's pictures taken. I am really happy with the way it turned out. I would love to be able to go to a real photographer but we can't afford it right now, so Kiddie Kandids it is. They have always done a good job for the price that I am paying. Anyway, no matter who takes the picture I think they look cute.

Lagoon!

Wednesday my cousin Danielle called us and told us that they had family discount tickets to Lagoon that expired that day, and asked us if we wanted to go. We have really wanted to take the kids but could never justify spending $120 bucks for the four of us to go. I was so excited I called Chuck and made him get off work in lab and we headed up there. Cayden had already been for his birthday this year, so he was so excited to go on his favorite rides again. Emma was in Heaven, she is such a thrill seeker, she loved all the rides and would laugh hysterically when she was riding them. She did not like the new octupus ride becuase it got her wet, she cried the whole time "I don't like this mommy, I don't like this." I felt bad and tried not to get her wet, but it kept spraying her. We had a great day and it was so nice to get to do something spontaneous and see our daddy for a whole day.

Gospel Discussion Group

Me and a couple of my friends just started a gospel discussion group. We had our first meeting yesterday. We took the kids to the park and let them play while we had our discussion. It was so great, we talked about Personal Revelation and the Ministering of Angels. I am so grateful that I have such wonderful friends, who always inspire me to be a better person. I have been so blessed to be in such a fabulous ward and to have such fenominal friends and neighbors. The spirit was so strong as we discussed these gospel principals, and I was able to recieve many new insights into our topic. I just want to quickly say how grateful I am for personal revelation, that God will speak to me when I am in need. I am grateful for the enlightenment and answers I have recieved in my life. And lastly I am so grateful for the companionship of the holy ghost, I am working so hard to have it as my constant companion, and to never do anything that drives it away. I am so grateful to have friends who share my same goals and morals, and who are always helping me as I reach towards my goals. I have really been craving spiritual things in my life right now, I want to immerse myself with the things of the Lord, and it is so nice to have those around me who enjoy talking and studying about these things. Anyway, I just feel so blessed right now, I have so much to be thankful for.

A perfect day for a Hike!

My kids love hiking, and they have been begging me for a week to go. They have also been asking to play with my step sister Amber's kids Brock and Cort, so I thought I would pull a double header and accomplish two things at once. Amber said the boys would love to go, so off we went, me and four little kids, hiking in the wilderness. Well little did I know that it was going to be about a million degrees outside. So there I was, hiking up a very steep hill, holding Emma, because she decided she didn't want to walk anymore, with sweat dripping from every part of my body, I had to keep reminding myself that this was suppost to be fun. I actually love hiking, but having to carry a two year old half way up the mountain kind of makes it less enjoyable. Can I just say again, IT WAS SO HOT!!! Anyway, I really did have fun, and the boys did great, they didn't complain once. After the hike we went to the park and played, the boys didn't understand why I wouldn't let them jump off the top of the playground. The kids didn't seem to notice the heat, nor did they seem to be sweating, so I guess the outing was a great success, they had fun and that is what's important.

Adventure Wednesday's Returns!

We haven't had Adventure Wednesday's for 3 weeks cause I have been out of town and getting my tooth pulled, so it was so fun to take the kids today. My friend Steph called me this morning and asked if we were doing anything fun today, when I told her what we were doing she decided to come. It was so fun to see her new baby Christian, he is so dang cute. Emma loved him, and even got him to smile a few times. I think holding the baby was the highlight of Emma's day. Amy and her kids came as well, and all three of our 4 year olds got along surprisingly well. We drove up to Sandy and then took the Trax all the way to Salt Lake. This kids were so excited to ride on a "train." Once we got up to Salt Lake we went to the Galivan Center where they were having Radio Disney Days. They had a bounce house, games, dance perfomers, face painting, and prizes. It was outdoors and the kids had a lot of fun, but it was so---o hot and the lines for the games were long. I think us moms were dieing in the heat, but the kids were enjoying themselves. Afterwards we went across the street to get pizza and then rode the trax home. It was a really fun day, except for the heat. I always love hanging out with Amy and her kids, and it was really fun to see Steph and her kids. It is so fun when I get to sit down an talk with my friends. Adult conversation is so much more stimulating than talking to a toddler about princesses and transformers =).

Waiting for the traxs, we missed the first traxs cause we weren't aggressive enough, we practically had to run over people to get on the next one. The kids were very patient while we waited.

Birthday Fun!

We had such a time on Emma's Birthday. I cleared the whole day so we could all just play, have fun, and spend time together. Emma decided she wanted to go to Seven Peaks on her b-day so we packed up and went. The kids had so much fun, their favorite was the tadpool pond. They loved doing the water slides. Their favorite water slide is lazor's edge. (I don't think that's what it is called anymore, but that's what it was when I was young.) After Seven Peaks and a much needed nap, we went to dinner at Emma's favorite restaurant, The Myan. Daddy had to work so Auntie Becca, Laura and Uncle Dave came and brought Baby Dave and Savannah. All the kids loved the waterfall and the divers. When we got home from dinner daddy had gotten home from work and we had Dear Lizzy cupcakes (YUM, my favorite!) and sang Happy Birthday. I think Emma really enjoyed her special day, and I loved getting to spend the whole day with my kids. We have been vacaioning or sick for 3 weeks so it was so nice to spend quality time with just Emma and Cayden with no interuptions.

Birthday Celebrations!!

We celebrated Emma's Birthday Monday night. It was really low key, only a couple of family members came. We had so much fun. We just sang to Emma, ate pink cupcakes and strawberry ice cream, (of coarse everything was pink). And then opened presents. Emma got a baby bed and a baby from Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Ron. A stuffed animal from Grandpa John and Grandma Brenda. Auntie Becca and Racheal got her the cutest crown and wand, and a cute little back pack. Auntie Laura got her some jewelry and dress up shoes. Auntie Danielle got her a really cute princess book. Uncle Ron gave her some wipes of her very own (long story, but a really thoughtful gift.) Cayden picked out a barbie guitar for her, and Chuck and I got her a princess dress, a princess tea set, "Pinkalicious," and "Princess Baby," (really cute girl books) and a tricycle. She was so thrilled with all her presents, she really did love everything she got. Thank you everyone for your love and support, she was so happy. We are so grateful to have family so close and to be able to see them so often and have them attend special events like this. We love you all.
