Adventure Wednesdays

Me and a couple of my freinds are starting a new thing this summer. We are going to do Adventure Wednesdays, and every Wednesday we are going to do a different fun activity and learn about what our theme is. We started it yesterday and we had so much fun. We went to this fun little park/pond and fed the ducks. Emma and Avery loved throwing the bread in the water. After feeding the ducks we played duck duck goose and then we let the kids play in the water. We took the babies clothes off but told Cayden and Riley not to go in so far that their shorts got wet. Well Riley stayed dry the whole time, but Cayden was completely soaked within a couple of minutes. He is such a boy. We did a little lesson on ducks and taught the kids what migration was. Andrea and Danica are going to start doing it with us next week, and I am so excited. I really want to expose my kids to all sorts of activities and different places. So I Think this will be really fun this summer. Hopefully I will have a baby next summer, so I want to do as much as we can and have lots of fun this summer. Cayden and Riley, she is so cute.

Memorial Day Fun

We had so much fun this Memorial Day. We went to luch with my family and then went and saw Prince Caspian. Laura was so wonderful and brought Emma and Dave home for naps so that Chuck and I could take Cayden to the movie. Cayden loved it, especially the sword fighting. Then after the movie we came home and just hung out with our kids. It was so great to have nothing to do and be able to just hang out and spend time together. Then our friends Trent and Kristi came over for dinner with their super cute baby Cami. Emma loved her. We had such a great day. Us, hanging out.

Our weekend surprise!!

Chuck has been really busy and really stressed with work lately so I thought that he needed a little break. So last weekend I dropped the kids off at moms and surprised him. I picked him up early from work and took him up to Park City for a night stay at the Westgate Resort. He was so excited and surprised, we had so much fun. It is always nice to get away without the kids, we haven't had a break since Cancun last year. We had dinner at our favorite pizza place on Main Street, called Pizza and Noodle, and then went to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for carmel apples, yum! Then we went and relaxed and hung out at our hotel for a while. We were going to go see a country rock band at a club, but decided to do the hot tub instead. Then Saturday morning we went and saw the new Indian Jones movie. We had so much fun, it was so relaxing and rejuvenating. I love getting to spend time with Chuck, he is so fun and always makes me laugh. I am so grateful for the times that we get to spend with each other. Us at the restaurant

Last Day of School

Today was Cayden's last day of school. I can't believe he only has one more year of preschool and then he will be starting elementary school and will be leaving me forever. This is the last year he will be home with me most the day. I am going to be so sad when he starts school and I don't get to spend as much time with him. He has grown so much over the past year. He loved his teacher and his school. He made so many good friends. His best friends in his class are Jase, Caroline, Adam, and McKay. I am so proud of him, of how well he did and how hard he worked to learn new things. Cayden on his last day

Cayden and Mrs. Stock, she is a fabulous teacher and Cayden just loves her.

Here are a couple things to show how much he has learned and progressed over the past year.

Left: coloring first day of school, Right: coloring last day of school

Top: Name first day of school, Middle: Name at Christmas, Bottom: Name last day of school.

Evaluation sheet, you can't see very well but he knows most of his letters and numbers at christmas he only knew like 2 letters and a couple numbers.

Swimming!!

The kids had so much fun swimming on Monday night they were begging me to go again so me and Amy took the kids yesterday morning. They had so much fun. The Lehi pool is fabulous. It has two kids sections with really shallow water and slides, and they have a little lazy river. It was so fun.

I know I look horrible, don't judge me =)

So blessed!

I am feeling so grateful right now for my family. I am so lucky to have such beautiful, fun, independant, bright children. I love them so much. We took them to the Lehi pool last night for family night and they loved it. We had so much fun together. I love to be with them. Honestly there is no where I would rather be than having fun with Chuck and my kids. Cayden and Emma have been getting along so well. Cayden is so good to Emma, he is always so loving and sweet to her. She really just idolizes him. He is behaving so well lately. He is really taking it seriously when we talk to him about being a good example for his sister and about doing what Jesus would want him to do. He always tells me "I am making Jesus happy," when he is obedient or nice. Emma is really growing up, sometimes a little to fast for me, but she is so smart and sweet. She is understaning so much now and is talking about everything. Last night Chuck was having Daddy time with Emma upstairs while me and Cayden made the treat for family night, and I heard music so I came upstairs to see what they were doing. Chuck was dancing with Emma and she was grinning from ear to ear. She looked so happy to be with him. I hurried and grabbed my camera and took a picture before she noticed me there. It made my eyes fill with tears to see how much Chuck loves her. He is definately wrapped around her finger. She loves him so much and when he is home she doesn't want me, it is all daddy. After Emma went to bed Chuck played soccer and baseball with Cayden and Cayden was in Heaven. Chuck has been really busy lately and it is hard to have him gone so much, but I am so grateful that he makes such a huge effort to have quality time with the kids when he is home. He is such a good daddy, and they love him so much. I am so grateful for such a wonderful husband who loves me and our children so much. I know it is just as hard for him, when he is gone so much, as it is for us. I am grateful for the sacrifices he has made so that I can be home with our children, I know that we have been blessed so much by the Lord because he has been willing to do what he's done. Anyway, I just wanted to express my gratitude for them. They are my everything. Cayden and Emma playing

Emma dancing with Daddy, look at how happy her face looks.

Emma riding Cayden like a horse. this is their new favorite game to play.

Princess Tea Party!!!

I watched my friend Stephanie's kids for her last week cause she just had a baby, and Emma had so much fun. They wanted to have a princess tea party, so we made cookies and got dressed up in Emma's princess outfits and they played tea party and babies. Cayden was sulking cause he wanted to do Transformer stuff, but Emma loved it. She is always playing with Cayden so she was so happy to have some girls around. She really was in heaven all day. Hallie and Savanah were so sweet to her, they are the cutest girls ever. We had so much fun with them.

Baby Sadie!!!

Rachael was in a play on Friday and Jamie and Kody are awesome and babysat our kids so that we could go to it. Rachael did great. Anyway Kody and Jamie have the cutest little girl ever named Sadie. Emma had so much fun playing with her. Emma is obsessed with babies right now, and ever since Sadie came over she is asking for Baby Sadie everyday, and at night she wants me to sing her the Baby Sadie song. So we had to make up a song for her. And now Cayden is telling me that I need to have a baby like baby Sadie. I am so grateful that my kids have so many cousins, and that they love them all so much. Kody and Jamie are moving to Texas soon and we are so sad. We will miss them so much, especially Sadie. Thanks you guys for helping out, our kids love you. They think you are the best uncle and auntie ever.

Quote of the Day!!!

Cayden was going potty this morning and was taking a long time. I asked him if he was OK and if he needed any help. He looked at me totally serious and said "Mom, four year olds like me have a lot of poop." I was laughing so hard. He is really taking this four year old thing seriously, he is always reminding me that he is four now, so he gets to do new special things. He thinks he is so old.

Mothers Day!

We had such a great mothers day. It was sad that my mom was gone, but it was fun cause my kids and husband got to do lots of special things for me cause we weren't going to my mom's. Chuck let me sleep in, which was a much needed treat for me. Then they made me breakfast and gave me my presents. Cayden was so excited to give me his present and card. I love when they get excited about giving. It doen't really matter that it was for me, I was just so happy to see him just as excited about giving a gift as he is about getting one. Cayden and Emma got me little charms, a C for Cayden, and an E for Emma to go on my charm neclace. And Chuck got me a really pretty ring, and an Ipod. I have wanted an Ipod forever, but I could never justify spending the money on one. So chuck got a really good deal on one, and got it for me. Isn't he so sweet. I can't wait to use it while I work out. Church was wonderful, chuck let me listen the whole sacrament while he wrestled to keep the kids quite. Becca, Ben, and Rachael came to church with us. Cayden got to go up in sacrament and sing with the primary. It is his first year in primary and it was so fun and exciting to see him go up there and sing mothers day songs. Then Cayden gave his first talk in primary. It was on Strengthening our families. He did such a great job. I was so proud of him. After church we came home and Chuck made me the best dinner ever. Filet, and baby back ribs, and potatoes, and asparagus. Then he made my favorite apple cake for desert. It was such a great mothers day. Chuck worked so hard to make it special for me. I also want to say how grateful I am for my mother. She is so special to me, and I love her so much. She is such a great example of love and selfless service. Thank you mom for all your constant love and support.

Emma was exhausted, she fell asleep on Chuck at 6:00. It was probly from being up late partying the night before.

My new Ipod. I love it.

Cayden and Emma's card. Cayden drew me a picture of all the Transformers.

When the parents are away, the kids will play!!

My parents are in Israel and we have been watching Ben and Rachael while they are gone. So Saturday night we decided we needed to do something fun. The kids are really missing mom and dad, so we took them out. We had so much fun. The kids really wanted to go to the Mayan for dinner, so we went again. We had to wait for a while to get in so we took some fun pictures. Becca brought her new boy toy, and we really like him a lot. He is really cute and treats her really well. I think they really like each other, we will have to see what happens. After the Mayan we went bowling. I haven't been in so long. The kids loved it and Cayden was actually pretty good. We had such a fun night. I love when I get to spend time with my sisters and brother. I really love to be with them, they are some of my best friends. Our cute little family

Isn't this cute? It wasn't posed, Emma did it herself.

Aren't we the cutest couple ever, he is so hansome.

Becca and Zach. His name is Zach Morris, isn't that funny. I guess only people from my generation would get why that is so funny.

Emma thought this was a princess and she was obsessed with her the whole time we were there.

Emma would only bowl if we put the ball between her legs and let her roll it. She wouldn't let us help her, she has to do everything on her own. She is so funny, and independant.

After Cayden's first strike, Daddy was so proud.

All of us. Laura looks about ready to pop. She is due in a week. Yey, we are so excited for her to have the baby.

Dave and Emma, so cute.
