The Big 25!!!

Happy Birthday to me. I turned 25 yesterday, thank you to all who called or emailed to tell me they were thinking of me. I had a very fun Birthday weekend. Friday night Chuck took me to Cheescake Factory for dinner and we went and saw Vantage Point. Then Saturday during the kids naps we went and saw Jumper. Thank you Laura for babysitting, I have the best sister. It's so cold here that the only thing their is to do is go to a movie. I can't wait till spring when we can be outside again. Then Saturday evening Chuck and the kids took me to Tepenyaki's my other favorite restaurant. Emma was terrified of the fire, she would start screaming every time he lit the table up. I love spending time with my little family. Then Yesterday we went to my moms for dinner, she made me steak and my favorte apple cake. It was fun to be with my mom and ron and my sisters and Ben. My mom gave me the best present ever, I get a day at the spa with her. Laura and Becca got me Enchanted my new favorite movie, and Chuck got me roses and a bluetooth that I have been wanting forever. Thank you to everyone who sent cards and thank you everyone for you're love and support, I love all my presents, but most of all I loved getting to spend time with all my best friends. Thank you Chuck for always trying so hard to make things special for me, I love you so much. Chuck and I on our fun date

When we got home Friday there were candles lit all over the room and a dozen roses waiting for me. Don't I have the sweetest husband.

We are officially pet people!!!

Cayden has been begging me for months to get a pet. First he wanted a dog, but they are just to high maintanance till the kids are old enough to help take care of it. So he has been watching Nemo and he decided he wanted a fish. We took him to the pet store for FHE on monday and he got to pick out 2 fish and a crab that he wanted. He loves them. He tells me everyday that he needs to take care of his fish. We told him that if he takes good care of his fish, and they stay alive that we will get him a dog for his birthday when he turns 5. So he is very concerned about taking care of them. He always wants them to come and watch a show with him, so I have to take them over to the family room. He is the one that is always reminding me that it is time to feed them. I am very proud of him. Emma really likes them too, but she keeps putting her hands in the water and trying to catch them. The two fish must have decided they didn't like the crab cause they killed him the first night. Cayden said he wasn't sad that he still needed to take care of his fishies. Cayden and his fish

So I decided to leave Chuck for my Patrick. j/k but we do look like a cute couple don't we. Chuck saw this billboard at the theater and insisted that I take a picture, cause he knows how much I love Patrick Dempsy. Amy thinks I'm crazy, she says that he is to femmy, but I love him. He's almost as cute as my hansome husband, but not quite. =)

My little Man!

Cayden has said a couple of really cute things the last couple of days that I wanted to be sure and write down before I forgot. chuck went in to put him to bed on Saturday and he was picking his nose, Chuck asked him what he was doing, and he got this distressed look on his face as he was digging and said "Dad, my buger keeps running away from me." Then Yesterday I put a jacket on him, he looked at me all anoyed and said "Mom I want the one with the cup holders" as he pointed to where his pockets should be. I laughed so hard, it might be funnier to me than to anyone else. We walked by a truck the other day and he told me that it didn't have an engine. I don't know how he even knows what an engine is, he is so smart sometimes. It makes me realize he is always listening and remembering what we say. He has had a bit of temper lately, when he doesn't get his way sometimes he will just freak out. So I taught him that when he gets mad, instead of screaming and yelling he needs to take a deep breath and count to ten and then tell me why he is upset. So now whenever he does something naughty how he tells me is that he comes up to me and says, "Mom, don't get mad, just take a deep breath and count to ten." He is so cute, and he is learning so much. I am so grateful for him in my life.

Black Eye!!!

So as I said Cayden has a little bit of a temper. On saturday morning he was mad at Chuck for something and he picked up his heavy metal plane and threw it. Well it hit Emma and now she has a huge black eye. He felt so bad, he didn't mean to hit her, he started bawling and kept saying "I'm so sorry Emma." I think it really scared him to see the blood. Hopefully he learned a lesson. Anyway, I feel so bad for her. She also has a little rash around her mouth that will not go away (anyone have any suggestions?) so she looks like we beat her up. It's gotten progressively worse everyday and today she woke up and it looks like a huge blood blister on her eye. I feel so bad for her. Saturday after it happened. It wasn't that bad then.
Sunday before Church, it's getting worse.

This morning, please excuse our bed head. Doesn't it look so bad. My poor baby.

Happy Valentines Day

We had a wonderful Valentines Day. Chuck told me that his present to me was that he was going to stay home all day and do all the stuff around the house that I have been asking him to do forever and it never gets done cause he's always so busy. He only got about half of it done because the kids wanted to play with him all day too. We started a new tradition this year, on Valentines day we are going to go do sealings in the temple. What better way to celebrate our love than to go and ponder the covenants that we made and the blessings that we have been promised in the temple. We had a wonderful time and we are so grateful for the temple and the eternal blessings that we have because we have been sealed there. The temple took longer than we thought it would so instead of going out to eat we went to Bahio's and ate in the car on the way to the movie. Then we saw Definately Maybe. I know we are total nerds, and we should think of something more romantic to do on Valentines, but we really just like to go see movies. We never get to go because of the kids so when we get out that's always what we end up doing. I know were boring, but we just like to see movies. Anyway, Laura was watching the kids and she had them asleep when we got home, and I had asked her to have the choclate fondue all set up and ready for us. We had a wonderful time, and I just want to tell my husband how much I love him. Thank you Chuck for all you do for me, I am so glad that you are my Valentine. You are so wonderful to me and our kids, you have sacrificed so much for our family, and for the Lord. I love you.
Us at the temple
eating our food in the car
I had Laura put rosepedals all over our bed and floor, and light candles all over the room. It was so romantic.

Kangaroo Zoo (Jacks)

So our new place to go is Kangaroo Zoo, Cayden likes to call it Kangaroo Jacks for some reason, and he corrects me when I call it Kangaroo Zoo. Anyway, it is a really fun bounce house with big bouncy slides and bounce houses. The kids love it and me and Chuck get a good excercize. We went there on Saturday and had a blast. I love spending time with our kids when we are all just laughing the whole time. Our kids are so much fun to be with. I am grateful for their fun little personalities, they make everyday things a joke and are always laughing.

Kissing Cousins

Emma and Davey love playing together. Dave is my sister Laura's little boy and he is so cute. For a while all they would do is fight, cause Emma would always push him and pick on him. But they are finally starting to play nice together (most of the time.) I watched Dave for Laura last week cause she was sick (prego stuff) and he and Emma had so much fun. I am grateful that she has a cousin her age that she can be close with growing up. Emma and Dave playing Hide and Seek, they are "hiding" from me. they always pick the worst hiding places.
Emma giving Dave a big kiss.

Emma kept taking the phone from Dave. If you can see his face, he is so mad. He hates it when she takes stuff from him.

Best Buds!

Our friends next door have two little girls that are Cayden and Emma's age. They love each other and have so much fun when they are together. I had a pajama party with them last week and they had a blast. Cayden loves Riley and he tells me that she is his girlfriend and that he is going to marry her in the temple when he gets big like daddy. I don't know where he gets this stuff. Riley just idolizes Cayden. She is so cute, she always gets excited about what he is excited about even if it's Spiderman or Transformers, and she is always telling him how great he is. Emma is always asking for "B", we call Avery Avey B so Emma walks around all day saying "B, B play with B." Anyway I really love these girls and we are so grateful for them and Chris and Aimee's friendship. Aimee is the person that I know I can go to no matter what. She never hesitates to help if I need something. She always seems to know when I'm having a hard day, she will come and take the kids to play at her house, or come over here and help me. Thanks guys for all you do, you're the best. Thanks guys, you are great friends and are always there for us, plus your tons of fun to be with. We love ya.

Stop the Snow

We have gotten so much snow this year. I know it is a huge blessing, and that it will help with the drought we have been in, but I am so sick of it. It seems like it is snowing and storming almost everyday and we have been cooped up inside all winter. Me and my kids are going stir crazy. They said on the news that we have gotten more snow this winter than the last 14 years combined. That amazing. I really am so grateful for all the moisture, and amazingly my kids haven't had one cold this winter. Lets just pray that spring comes soon. Our backyard, Cayden's slide is 4 feet tall. We have had a couple more storms since I took this picture and his slide is now completely covered with snow. It's too deep to even take the kids out to build a snowman. We tried to build an Ice fort but the kids got bored with it.
Chucks car, the snow in piled almost as high as the car.

Our wonderful neighbor always shovels our walks before
we even get a chance to get out their and do it. He knows how busy Chuck is and says it is his little way of helping us out. Isn't that so nice.

Daddy Play Time

Chuck has been really busy the last couple weeks, because he had a huge presentation to give for lab. Plus me and him went out of town for Grandpas funeral, so the kids haven't seen alot of him. They have really missed him. So this weekend he spent most of Saturday and Sunday playing and spending time with them. Emma is just happy to sit on his lap and play games, read books, and kiss and cuddle him. Cayden wanted to play Transformers all weekend. In these pictures Chuck was Megatron and Cayden was Sam and Sam was trying to get the all spark cube away from Megatron. If Chuck would stop playing with Cayden even for a minute Cayden would say "Dad your not playing with me." You could tell that he really wanted Daddy's attention. He was so great to spend so much time with them. They have been really craving time with him lately, so they were in Heaven. I know that Chuck does his best to spend quality time with them, even though he can't be home as much as he would like.

Jungle Party

So I totally copied Amy (thanks for the great idea) and we had a jungle party. We had jungle juice (hot cocoa) and got all our jungle animals and put them all around us on the couch, and we watched Jungle Book. The kids had so much fun. Emma loved the bear and carried it around the rest of the day. They love doing any kind of party, we always have Pajama Parties and Dancing Parties with their friends so this was a fun change.

Little Mommy

Emma Loves her Babies. My mom and Chuck's mom each got her one for Christmas. She will put on her purse and carry her baby around all day. She keeps the bottle in her purse and will take it out and tell me when her baby wants a baba. She loves to kiss and cuddle them and take them on walks in her stroller. She is so cute. She loves to be a little mommy.

Testimony Time

So the last couple of months Cayden has been really interested in the people bearing their testimony. Last month he asked if he could bear his. We told him he could only go up and bear his tesimony if he did it himself, with no help from mom and dad. He said he would, so he went up and bore his testimony. It was so cute. Anyway Yesterday he really wanted to do it again, but Chuck told him we cant go up every fast sunday, that we need to give other people a chance but that he could do it at home with the family. So last night after scriptures he wanted to bear his testimony. We just finished reading 1st Nephi so Cayden has learned a lot about Nephi and Laman and Lemuel. Anyway he stood up on the ottamon to bear his testimony and said. "I know my mommy and daddy love me, I love my mom and dad, and baby sister so much. I know Pres Hinckley was a prophet, and I know he is with Jesus now. I am thankful for the Book of Mormon, I am thankful for Nephi, but I am not thankful for Laman and Lemuel." Then he stopped for a minute and got this sad look on his face and said, "Oh no mom, I said a bad word." I told him that he didn't say a bad word and he said "Yes I did, I said NOT Thankful for, but mom I really am not thankful for them." We were laughing so hard. I guess it might be funnier to us than it is to anyone else. But I am so grateful that he is learning so much. That he is interested in the gospel, and that he loves Jesus so much. I am grateful for the spirit in our home, I know that he and Emma feel the spirit when we read the scriptures and pray, (well most the time.) I am grateful for a husband who honors his priesthood, and is an example everyday to Cayden of what a loving father and husband is. Anyway, I am always thinking that I should be doing better as a mother, I always feel I am coming up short somehow. But times like last night I realize that they are learning about the Gospel and our Savior, and they know that I love them, and maybe I am doing and Ok job afterall.

Chicken Pocks =(

So we went to grandpa Huntsmans funeral over the weekend, and this is what I came home to. We left Saturday morning, and Brenda called me Saturday night to tell me Emma had broken out in chicken pocks. We tried to change my flight so I could go home to take care of her, but I was about 4 hours away from the airport, and I couldn't get a ride back, cause of coarse everyone wanted to stay and be there for the funeral. I felt so bad that I wasn't there with her when she was so sick. But Brenda had her Saturday and Sunday and my mom and Becca had her Monday and Tuesday, they all took such good care of her, they were so loving and attentive to her. Thanks you guys for taking such good care of my baby while I was away. She is feeling better now and her pocks are starting to scap over. I just feel so bad for her. she will point to her pocks and say "Mommy, hurt, owie" She isn't old enough to know that scratching them will relieve the pain a bit, which is good I think that is why they are getting better so quickly is cause she isn't scratching them and making them worse. y
