Mothers Day

I had such a great mothers day this year. Chuck let me sleep in and made me my favorite breakfast, french toast, which I never have because it is so bad for me. Then Chuck and the kids gave me two dozen roses, that were beautiful. After Church I got to take dinner and kids up to my friend Tammi at the hospital, her baby just had a heart transplant and I wanted them to be able to have a mothers day dinner together. I came home and had dinner with my family and then after dinner we went to see my Grandma because my mom was out of town. It was a great day and I felt to loved and so special.

I am so grateful to be the mother of these 3 wonderful kids.
Cayden and Emma were so excited to give me my roses. It was Cayden's idea to get them for me.
So beautiful
Cute Gracie, she wasn't smiling in the other picture so I had to put this one in.

Cut our hair!

Emma has cut her hair so many times that it was all uneven, the front was a lot shorter than the back, and half her bangs were way shorter than the rest. Her hair is also so thin it was starting to break at the ends and was horrible split ends. I decided I'm not using the straight iron or the curling iron on it anymore cause it just damages it too much. Anyway, we cut it off, and had to cut her bangs so they would all be even. I loved her long hair and I miss it, but at least now it is all even and healthy and I am going to keep it healthy and grow it out again.

A before shot, beautiful long hair (Well, long for Emma)
Cut the bangs, she hated them!
And now for the bob, it is actually cuter than this picture. It looks cute on her, but I still miss her longer hair.

Easter outfits

I really don't even know why I bought Easter outfits this year. We were out of town the week before Easter, then Easter Sunday was conference, and the week after Easter Chuck and I went to Indiana. So it was many weeks late that the kids got to wear them. They did look really cute though.

My cute little family.
3 adorable kids! I love them all so much.

Cayden's bday party!

I am so behind in updating my blog. The Saturday after Cayden's birthday in April we had a little party for him. It was actually a last minute thing. We were not planning on doing one and like the day before the party we decided to throw something together. It was fun, only a couple of his friends could make it because it was so last minute, but he was really happy with it. We took all the kids to the park and played soccer and then had an obstacle course. They loved the course and wanted to do it over and over. After the park we came home and had ice cream and cake, and my family came over to wish Cayden a happy birthday.

Cort and Cayden. Cort is Cayden's favorite cousin, they were born a week apart.

Baby Landon

I was able to go up and take some pictures for my friend Tami of her cute baby Landon. He has been in the hospital since he was born with some really bad heart problems. He was put on the transplant list about a month ago, and then she called me the day before mothers day and told me they had a heart for him YEY! She asked if I would come and take some pictures of him before the surgery that night. I ran up to Primary Children's and got to spend the evening with this little guy. Isn't he so dang cute. It was harder to take pictures in a hospital bed with IV's and catheters sticking out of him, but at least we got to take the feeding tube out of his nose. He looks so perfect, it's hard to imagine that he was as sick as he was. He is doing great after the surgery and is recovering quickly. I know it is still a long hard road for his family. We love Joe and Tami so much, and send our prayers their way. This situation has really made me so grateful that I have had healthy children, we don't think about it enough, but it really is a huge blessing.
Tami is the most beautiful person, inside and out! She has been such a great example to me of Faith and Perseverance. I know this has been hard on her, but she is such a trooper!

so sweet

So sorry to seem like I'm bragging or something, but I have to remember this. Cayden did a cute little Mothers day present in school for me, and he insisted on giving it to me early so he could give it to me when no one else was giving me something. Anyway, part of it was a fun little worksheet where the kids finished the sentences about their mom's. So for example, one of them said. I make my mom laugh by ________. And the kids would fill in the blank. Well the last question was. My mom is really smart, she even knows_________. Cayden filled in "that Jesus lives, and loves us." I'm such a baby, I started crying when I read it. I am just so touched that he would write that. With all the things that I feel I am doing wrong, and all the things I am working at improving, it sure is nice to know that at least on some of the important things I am doing OK. I am so glad that my kids know that I have a testimony of the Savior. If I could choose one thing for my kids to know without a doubt about me, it would be that. What a sweet boy I have.
