Graduation!!!

August 2, 2010 Chuck was able to defend his thesis in front of his department and committee. It was amazing for me to go and watch him. I always knew he was smart, but I was literally blown away by him and what he had done. He really is a genius and I am so proud of him. He worked hard and now has a Ph. D. in Oncological Sciences from the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry department.

Chuck's brother Steve and his fiance Vanessa were able to come and support him as well. Along with my parents and Chuck's parents.

That evening we had a big graduation party to celebrate his accomplishment. All of the people we love most were there to support him. It was a great night. We had a great dinner and just got to hang out with everyone. I was so touched by how many people came to be there for us. It was so nice to see all the people we love before leaving.

Chuck was so excited that Mike Lee came to support him. Mike is running for US senator in Utah and Chucked was a regional leader on his campaign. They became good freinds during the campaign. Mike even said he would give Chuck an internship in his Senate office next summer. The woman is Sharon, Mike's wife, she is wonderful by the way.
